Our Commitment to Data Protection

VedDelivery™ is committed to protecting your personal data and complying with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018. This page summarises your rights and how we uphold them.

Your Rights Under UK GDPR

As a data subject, you have the following rights:

  • The right to be informed — how and why your data is used (see our Privacy Policy).
  • The right of access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
  • The right to rectification — correct any inaccurate or incomplete data.
  • The right to erasure — request deletion of your data (the "right to be forgotten").
  • The right to restrict processing — ask us to limit how we use your data.
  • The right to data portability — receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format.
  • The right to object — object to processing based on legitimate interests.
  • Rights regarding automated decision-making — not subject to solely automated decisions with legal effects.

Lawful Basis for Processing

We process your personal data under the following lawful bases:

  • Contract (Article 6(1)(b)) — to provide the VedDelivery™ service you signed up for.
  • Legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f)) — to improve our service, ensure security, and detect fraud.
  • Consent (Article 6(1)(a)) — for optional analytics and notifications. You can withdraw consent at any time.

Data Retention

We retain your data only for as long as necessary:

  • Delivery records and evidence: kept for the lifetime of your account.
  • Account data: deleted within 30 days of account closure on request.
  • Analytics data: retained for up to 12 months in aggregated, anonymised form.

International Data Transfers

Your data is stored on secure cloud infrastructure. Where any data is processed outside the UK, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place, such as UK International Data Transfer Agreements or Adequacy Regulations, to protect your rights.
